Juventus market, Luciano Spalletti thinks about a Bologna player for January

Luciano Spalletti has clear ideas: Juventus needs a shake-up at the back, and the Tuscan coach has already identified a name for the January market. It is Jhon Lucumí, Bologna’s Colombian central, a profile that Spalletti considers ideal to strengthen a department that so far has shown more shadows than lights.
Having arrived on the Bianconeri bench with the task of rebuilding a struggling technical project, Spalletti is clear about the first objective, which is to regain defensive solidity, but against both Cremonese and Sporting (and to tell the truth, also against Udinese in the match in which Massimo Brambilla went on the bench) the Old Lady’s goal did not remain inviolate.
Lucumí, 25, represents the perfect identikit for Spalletti: young but experienced in Serie A, reliable in marking, tidy tactically and with room for growth. This is not the first time the defender has ended up in Juve’s sights, but this time the contractual situation with Bologna could favor the deal.
The Juventus management’s strategy is clear: move early, avoid auctions and close quickly to hand Spalletti a ready reinforcement for the immediate future. The coach has asked for quick and targeted action, avoiding buffer solutions.
“We are talking with him about renewal and we would be happy if he stays, he I don’t know, ask him. We will meet again later and he will tell us what he has decided. After he had to give up the Premier League in the summer, he has put himself back on the piece with great professionalism” Giovanni Sartori recently told ‘Repubblica’ talking about Lucumí.
