F1, Sprint Interlagos: Lando Norris smiles, Kimi Antonelli excellent second. Ferrari anonymous

The Sprint Race at Interlagos, site of the Brazilian GP scheduled for Sunday, ended with the success of Lando Norris, in a McLaren. The British driver anticipated at the finish line an excellent Kimi Antonelli, who finished second, and the latter’s teammate at Mercedes, George Russell. Fourth was Max Verstappen, on Red Bull.
The race experienced a major jolt on the seventh lap, with the 8217;accident of Oscar Piastri in Turn 3, which, in addition to causing a red flag (race resumed then after about twenty minutes), changes the outlook in terms of the world championship: Norris in fact rises to 365 points, while Piastri remains at 356 and Verstappen chases at 326. In addition to McLaren’s No. 81, Colapinto (Alpine), who went out in the same spot as the Australian a few seconds later, and Bortoleto (Kick Sauber), who went into the barriers on the last lap, also retired.
Anonymous performance for the two Ferraris: Charles Leclerc finished in fifth place, far from the top positions (he is 14 seconds behind the podium of the day), while Lewis Hamilton finished seventh, also behind Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin, confirming a period far from happy at the wheel of the red car.
The two Ferraris were the first to finish in the top ten.
From the eighth position down then finished Pierre Gasly (Alpine), Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls), Esteban Ocon (Haas), Ollie Bearman (Haas), Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls), Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull), Carlos Sainz (Williams), Nico Hulkenberg (Kick Sauber, also’he protagonist of an accident in Turn 3 shortly after piastri but able to get back on track) and finally Alex Albon (Williams).
