Eight games on the NBA night and in particular for the NBA Cup, with Simone Fontecchio starring with 11 points in the Miami Heat’s success against the Charlotte Hornets.

The Florida franchise came out on top 126-108 but making headlines was a record-breaking first quarter with 53 points, the highest in their history and the second highest ever in the league.

In other games, the Denver Nuggets extended their home winning streak, overwhelming the Golden State Warriors 129-104 without Stephen Curry. Nikola Jokic scored 26 points, nearing his sixth triple-double of the season.
