We still do not know when it will end the ordeal of Daniele Lavia, injured on the eve of the Volleyball World Cup then won by Italy, but from the Medicine Center of Villafranca arrive timid signs of optimism: it is successful, in fact, the hand operation which has undergone the player of Trentino Volleyball and the National Team, although the same club does not want to sbiltare yet on recovery time.

“Trentino Volley announces that today, at the Medical Center of Villafranca di Verona, player Daniele Lavia underwent surgical revision to the fifth finger of his right hand– reads the club’s note -The surgery, carried out by Professor Massimo Corain (the same who had operated on him in August in the hours following the injury), was perfectly successful”.

“In the coming weeks, the recovery time will be more precisely defined” further explains the club, which has had Lavia on its roster since 2021, when he was acquired after the 2020-2021 season played in Modena. With Trento, Lavia won two Scudetti (2022-2023 and 2024-2025), an Italian Super Cup (2021) and a Champions League (2023-2024).

This year, the incredible bad luck that struck him just days before the World Cup prevented him from taking the field. The last official match with the Trentino Volleyball jersey for Lavia remains the 3-2 success against Civitanova in game-4 of the final-Scudetto, the match that handed the Gialloblù the sixth Tricolor in their history.
