Ferrari, Elkann’s outburst against Leclerc and Hamilton: "Not up to" talk less"

Ferrari president John Elkann on the sidelines of the presentation of the partnership on the Milan-Cortina Winter Games dwelt in harsh words on the moment the Maranello team is experiencing in Formula 1. The Prancing Horse’s number one praised the work of the technicians and instead targeted the drivers, both of whom retired at Interlagos.
“In Formula 1 on the one hand we have the mechanics who have done their duty, between pole positions and perfect pit stops; the engineers the same, with a car that has clearly improved. The rest, however, has not been up to the task” these are the words of Elkann, who then spoke explicitly about Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
“They need to focus on driving and talk less. There are still some races left and it is not impossible to aim for second place in the constructors“ world championship, is Elkann’s attack.
On Sunday after the race Hamilton had vented: “It is a nightmare and I have been living it for a while. The transition from the dream of driving for this amazing team to the nightmare of our results is challenging”.
