These are hours of very high tension in Mexico, where it has even come to death threats against Adalberto ‘Coco’ Carrasquilla, author of a terrifying intervention during the match between Cruz Azul and Pumas Unam, whose colors the Panamanian midfielder wears.

Carrasquilla came in dry on the leg of the opposing team’s goalkeeper, Colombian Kevin Meir, causing him to fracture his tibia, as evidenced by the examinations to which the South American underwent.

The’perpetrator of the foul was simply cautioned, a detail that further heated up tempers, first on the field and then on the web, where more than one Cruz Azul fan called for the Panamanian’s head, and not figuratively.

Meir, who underwent surgery to reduce the fracture, will be away from the playing fields for about six months.
