Italy, Fabio Cannavaro optimistic about World Cup qualification

During the filming of “AperiTotti”, a new format of Betsson.Sport, Fabio Cannavaro spoke about many topical issues, from his current favorite defender in the Azzurri jersey to wishing coach Rino Gattuso well in qualifying for the upcoming World Cup. Here are the words of the 2006 Ballon d’Or winner.

“The defender I like most in the current national team is Buongiorno. He is a guy who besides having qualities in possession is always very focused. And that for me for a defender is fundamental.”

“In view of the playoffs, I don&#8217t feel like giving any advice to Rino, he has shown that he has the right experience, he has lived a little bit’everywhere, he has worked with many different teams and he definitely has the right experience to be able to take us to the World Cup.”

“Managing a group of champions is difficult but at the same time easy, problems come up when things go wrong. During the 2006 World Cup I was lucky because things always went very well.”
