The Grand Prix of Thailand has been confirmed on the MotoGP calendar until and including 2031 upon renewal of the agreement covering the period from 2027 onward, guaranteeing at least five more rainbow events at the Buriram circuit.

Dorna, the company that manages the commercial sector of the MotoGP, made this known, stressing that Southeast Asia continues to prove its importance, with room for further expansion.

“Since we first went to Buriram in 2018, the Thai GP has become an increasingly important and atmospheric event – said Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta -, the races are always a fantastic spectacle and the extra entertainment for the fans creates a very complete weekend for the often record crowds we record”.

The Thai Grand Prix has been held, as mentioned, since 2018, except in 2020 and 2021 because of the Covid pandemic. Marc Marquez has won three times, all in MotoGP, at the Buriram circuit and Pecco Bagnaia two, in 2018 in Moto2 and in 2024 in the premier class.
