Nicolò Bulega: an'admission and a promise to Ducati towards Valencia

Nicolò Bulega will have the opportunity to race his second MotoGP race in Valencia, following his two-faced debut at Portimao. Widely disappointing in his Sprint Race in Portugal, a world point came on Sunday. And now the vice-world champion in Superbike intends to relaunch, explaining what difficulties he has found so far on the Ducati Desmosedici GP25.
“In MotoGP, three days are not enough to understand a bike. Especially if they are the days of a race weekend – noted Bulega -. It would be different to spend three days testing, where there isn’t the same pressure and it can happen to spend an hour in the pits studying data. On a race weekend, on the other hand, you always need maximum concentration, because improvements have to come in a very short time. It is not easy”.
“Portimao was my first weekend in MotoGP, which is really very different from SBK. There this year I was very strong, and I didn’t need to look at the data then so often,– admitted Bulega. In Portugal I was also able to study those of Pecco Bagnaia, Alex Marquez, Aldeguer. But analyzing them is different from putting them into practice on the track. Now, in Valencia, I know what to expect”.
“For me, it will still be a complicated weekend, because I haven–t raced on this track for four years,” added Bulega. “However, I want to learn all the new things, after Portimao didn’t go so badly in the end. I made mistakes there that, as an experienced rider, would not have happened to me in SBK. But I think that’s normal, and I think I did pretty well in the last few laps in Portugal. I realized what my lack of experience was a factor in; I spent two days at home to think about it. Now I feel ready”.
