On Sunday at 8:45 p.m. Israel and Moldova, both now out of the running for the 2026 World Cup, face off at Nagyerdei Stadion in Debrecen. For Israel, it is no longer possible to join Italy in second place in Group I, while Moldova, the trailing runner-up, has long been cut off from any hopes of qualification.

Shimon could deploy Peretz in the middle of the field along with Gloukh and Khalaili, the trio tasked with supporting the offensive trident composed of Biton, Baribo and Shua, especially in light of the absence of the injured Manor Solomon.

Popescu should instead start again with Caimacov, Rata and Bogaciuc in the median, with Perciun and Postolachi as the attacking tandem. Out is Nichita Motpan.

Probable lineups

Israel (4-3-3): Glazer; Dasa, Baltaxa, Blorian, Revivo; Peretz, Gloukh, Khalaili; Biton, Baribo, Shua. Coach: Shimon.

Moldova (5-3-2): Kozhukhar; Forov, Craciun, Babogio, Gherasimencov, Reabciuk; Caimacov, Rata, Bogaciuc; Perciun, Postolachi. Coach: Popescu.
