World Cup qualifiers 2026: Portugal-Armenia, the likely lineups

Portugal-Armenia is a match valid for the sixth day of group F of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in North America: after the shock of the knockout in Ireland and Ronaldo’s expulsion, the Lusitanians first in the group standings must react immediately to close the accounts and qualify directly for the rainbow. Roberto Martinez&#8217s selection should have no problem against Armenia, last in the standings and the group&#8217s cinderella: in the first leg away match, Portugal had won with a dry 5-0.

Martinez will be without CR7, who is disqualified, and will rely on the Bernardo Silva-Gonçalo Ramos-Joao Felix trident going forward. In midfield Vitinha flanked by Ruben Neves and Joao Neves, the full-backs will be Cancelo and Dalot.

Armenia without Inter star Mkhitaryan, currently injured: Sevikyan, Ranos, Shaghoyan play in attack. In the middle Hovhannisyan, K. Muradyan, Spertsyan.
