As is often the case, when it comes to Jannik Sinner there is a huge debate, and this time it was Fabrizio Biasin who inflamed the web. The well-known journalist shared a photo of Sinner on X after his Atp Finals victory and wrote: “Jannik Sinner, the greatest athlete in Italian sports”.

In the comments section a huge debate broke out: “Calm down dear Biasin, we have excellences in other disciplines as well” wrote one user, “These statements are really ridiculous…and what would be the parameter to say that he is greater than the Italian volleyball players?”” commented another. They could not miss the unfortunate comments regarding the nationality of the&#8217Highlander: “Blue? I didn&#8217t know the color of Austria was ’blue…” read another comment.

Already in August, on the occasion of Jannik Sinner’s birthday, the post Biasin had dedicated to him had come under fierce criticism: “One of the greatest Italian sportsmen all time, destined to become the greatest ever. Happy Birthday Jannik Sinner!” had been the sentence of the well-known journalist.

The statement, as was to be expected, had sparked a heated debate, and not only among those who follow the competent Lombard. For some time now, there has been talk of the possibility that the world’s number 1 tennis player could become the greatest Italian sportsman ever. According to some, indeed, he already is.
