Milan market, Igli Tare gives a hint for January

Intervening at the Social Football Summit in Turin, Igli Tare, AC Milan’s sporting director, took stock of the Rossoneri’s situation, without hiding the possibility of intervening in the market when the possibility of acquiring and disposing of players reopens, in the window that will be opened on January 2 and then go to close at 8 p.m. on February 2.

“Honestly, I do not think it will be a major market session – admitted Tare, responding to a specific question on the subject -What I can say is that we will be ready should a useful opportunity present itself. Already this summer we have worked a lot, bringing 19 players to the team and sending away 23”.

As far as the Rossoneri needs are concerned, the most urgent one seems to be that of a center forward, given the difficulties of Santi Gimenez and Christopher Nkunku, both of whom scored only one goal with the Rossoneri jersey, curiously enough in the same match, Milan-Lecce 3-0 last September 23. Since then, neither the Mexican nor the Frenchman have put their names on the scorers’ table.

Between the two the most likely to be sacrificed is Gimenez, but his eventual transfer hinges on finding a replacement: the track leading to Robert Lewandowski remains alive but the lunge will be attempted later, while a possibility for the winter seems to be linked to Joshua Zirkzee, who has struggled to settle in at Manchester United and is thinking of returning to Italy.
