The warning of referee Doveri, who had brought to the attention of the fourth man the need to stop the game in case of racist chants, was not enough.

In minute 19 of Fiorentina-Juventus, a match in the 12th round of the Serie A championship, the match director was in fact forced to stop the game to restore order, resuming it after a couple of minutes.

Target of the chants, specifically, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, among others a former Fiorentina own. Not even the announcement by the speaker, who a few minutes earlier had advised spectators to avoid inappropriate behavior, prevented the offensive chants against the player from coming from the stands.

Play resumed when the situation returned to normal: the match director, however, confirmed his intention to interrupt in case of a repetition of behaviors similar to those that forced him to stop the game just before.
