Napoli, Antonio Conte explains change of form: "I have no masks"

Napoli coach Antonio Conte spoke to Sky after the victory against Atalanta’Atalanta. The coach from Lecce explained the change of module, with the switch to 3-4-3: “The last tegola of Anguissa, who got injured in the national team, led me to make some reflections on an objective level. There are really only a few of us left in the midfield. Elmas is a wild card, not really a midfielder. The ones on the roster are Lobotka and McTominay, plus a prospect like Vergara who, however, is more offensive”.
“We are satisfied with the win, the way it was achieved. In the first half we brought very high pace, but also in the second half we tried to bring high pressure. A team that is losing pours into the opponent’s half of the field, it is inevitable, although we could have done better in handling the ball”.
On the relationship with the team after the criticism following the last defeats: “I have a very intense, very strong relationship with my players. We always try to tell each other the truth, I am a very transparent and true one, I have no masks, I am as you see me”.
“Many people do not like this. But I have always been taught to intervene when you see things, not to turn away. The media is right to talk, we have to keep working”.
