Adriano Panatta moves in a TV interview

Adriano Panatta in an interview on the program “Hello Male” on Rai confided about his career and his life: “I was never very present for my children, when they were very young I was always traveling around the world. Unfortunately it was my job, I couldn’t do otherwise. I made so many mistakes, even years when I completely isolated myself”.
“The merit of Anna, my wife, was just that, she gave me back the joy of putting myself out there a little bit, starting over a little bit, doing things that I didn’t do before. At one point I was just going to the office, working, then going home, never going out. I had also lost contact with friends. And it was a not so good time”.
“There was no desire to see anybody, that is the truth. I was doing my job, because I always did it for charity. But during my free moments I didn’t see people, I kept to myself by myself. Dying? It bothers me. I’m more than three-quarters of the way through my life. So you have to think about it, I would like to be 30’years younger…”
Panatta also talked about the Davis Cup lost to France: “They stole our match in Nancy. The international tennis federation gave me a trial and wanted to disqualify me, in the end I wrote a letter of apology they hushed it up a little bit. However really they stole our match. We were 2-0 up, we lost 3-2”.
