Max Verstappen has resoundingly reopened the Formula 1 World Championship after his victory in Las Vegas: the Red Bull driver, who with two races to go is back within a few points (24) of leader Lando Norris after the disqualification of the two McLarens, is now hoping for another sprint finish in Abu Dhabi, after the winning one five years ago against Lewis Hamilton that earned him his first career title.

But Verstappen himself after the race in the City of Sin was amazed by what Andrea Kimi Antonelli did on the track. The Italian Mercedes driver, who started 17th and was hit by a five-second penalty after the start, managed to climb back up to fifth place at the finish line, which became third after the two McLarens were disqualified.

The Italian driver was able to make a comeback.

Antonelli and Verstappen chatted immediately after the finish, and the Dutch driver completed, widening his eyes after Antonelli made a hand gesture of 5.

The two get along very well and have a lot of mutual respect, so much so that the four-time world champion has repeatedly praised the 19-year-old driver, in his first season in Formula 1.
