Archived the derby practice, Milan is already looking ahead to the next complicated challenge against a resurgent Lazio, scheduled for Saturday night at San Siro. From the infirmary come two important pieces of news concerning Santiago Gimenez and Zachary Athekame.

The Mexican striker is ready to return to the group after missing the last three games due to an ankle contusion suffered against Atalanta. Gimenez, still in the hunt for his first goal in this league, is aiming for a call-up for the match with the Biancocelesti.

Totally opposite talk, however, regarding Athekame: the Swiss full-back returned from commitments with the Swiss Under-21 national team with a calf soleus problem that will keep him out for at least a month, according to reports from ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’.

His stop forces coach Massimiliano Allegri to alternative solutions for the right flank, which is now without the natural replacement of Alexis Saelemekers, in great form in this beginning of the championship in which he has already scored two goals and provided an assist.
