After Davis Cup triumph, Italy is confirmed at the top of the ranking for nations

Tennis’s Italy, and it couldn’t be otherwise since it has won the silver bowl for the past three years, is confirmed at the top of the Davis Cup rankings for Nations.

The ranking is published after each round of the competition based on the results of the last four years. The Azzurri have been at the top since their triumph against Australia in 2023 in Malaga.

Still in Malaga, in 2024, Filippo Volandri’s boys did the encore by defeating the Netherlands and on Sunday they dropped their trio in Bologna against Spain.

Since 2001, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Great Britain, Russia and Spain have also led this ranking.

Here is the current ranking: 1. Italy 2. Germany 3. Spain 4. Australia 5. Belgium 6. Netherlands 7. United States 8. France 9. Canada 10. Argentina and the Czech Republic 12. Austria 13. Great Britain 14. Croatia 15. Serbia 16. Hungary 17. Finland 18. Brazil 19. Chile 20. Denmark.
