Santos in trouble: Neymar injured, relegation risk concrete

Santos is going through a decidedly delicate moment. The draw (1-1) with the Internacional of Porto Alegre has made even more complicated the ranking of the Peixe who, at the moment, are fourth’last, therefore at great risk of relegation.

The big problem is the physical condition of Neymar. The Brazilian star did not take the field against Internacional de Porto Alegre because of knee discomfort, already felt in the previous match against Mirassol.

The’former Barcelona and PSG star continues to fail to play consistently. His intermittent presence has affected the performance of Santos, which now faces the specter of relegation.

There are still three days left in the Brazilian league and Santos can no longer make mistakes, starting with the next challenge, at home, with Sport Recife, already mathematically relegated (match scheduled for Saturday night, Nov. 29). The hope is that Neymar will be able to recover and make his valuable contribution on the field. His talent is needed to avoid a relegation that would be a real sports drama.
