Juventus stranded in Norway, airport runway is frozen

Juventus won a valuable victory in the Champions League playoff race but the return to Turin is proving even more complicated than the match itself.

The runway at the Norwegian airport is still covered with ice and all flights are grounded, including that of the Juventus team, which was scheduled to depart at noon today.

The’timetable has been delayed twice already and boarding operations have not yet proceeded. Of course, the problem also affects fans and journalists in tow.

The hope is that the situation will be unblocked in the early afternoon, to allow Juventus, whose plane will have priority over the others, not to lose a precious day ahead of the weekend and in particular Saturday’s match against Cagliari.
