F1: McLaren on the ropes and Max Verstappen knows how to win in Qatar

Max Verstappen believes. After the McLarens’ disqualification in Las Vegas, the four-time World Champion is -24 points behind World Championship leader Lando Norris. In short, with two GPs still to go (the Sprint is also scheduled in Qatar), the comeback is not impossible.

Also because McLaren is now under great pressure. The’mistake in Las Vegas has generated a lot of apprehension in the team, which, of course, can now make no more mistakes. As if that were not enough, Oscar Piastri is still in the running for the World Championship (same gap as Max Verstappen) and so he is not at all willing to give his teammate a hand.

There is then the Max Verstappen factor. Exalted by the concrete possibility of a comeback, the four-time World Champion has regained great confidence. He feels he could really take home his fifth World Title. Not least because, in Qatar, he has always done so well.

The last two editions were won by the very Dutchman from Red Bull, certifying a special feeling with the track. Lando Norris, on the contrary, has never excelled on the Lusail circuit. Last year, for example, he finished a not-exciting 10th place. Exactly what he cannot afford this weekend.
