Dinamo Sassari, Mauro Sartori justifies the choice of Jacob Pullen

After only two wins in the first nine days of the championship, Dinamo Sassari has decided to supplement its roster with the’addition of an extra element, veteran Jacob Pullen, a point guard with dual US and Georgian nationality. The sporting director of the island club, Mauro Sartori, explained the decision to bet on the 36-year-old former of Virtus Bologna, Brindisi, Verona and Napoli, among others.
“Jacob Pullen is a player who needs no introduction, very well known also in Italy where he has left an important mark – he said. We are talking about a top-notch offensive talent, but also an athlete with charisma, leadership and ability to handle difficult moments, qualities that we believe are fundamental for our path”.
“We believe he can give us a remarkable contribution both in technical terms and in terms of authority on the court– added Sartori -: he knows how to deal with hot situations and he has already worked with coach Mrsic, a combination born of mutual esteem. We had the need to include such a profile and we are happy to welcome him. He will be able to support Buie and Zanelli in managing the team, bringing experience and knowledge of the game. We are convinced that he will be a very important element for us”.
Veljko Mrsic, head coach of Dinamo, confirmed his satisfaction with the arrival of the American: “Pullen is a very experienced player who knows the Italian league very well, where he also played recently with Napoli. We expect that he can make an important contribution to the team as a combo guard, so both in the role of point guard and guard. I already coached him at Cedevita, I am sure he can do well”.
