Max Verstappen, more doubts than certainties: the Red Bull driver explains one of his concerns

After finishing qualifying for the Sprint Race in Qatar in first place in Q1 and third place in Q2, Max Verstappen failed to confirm himself in the decisive session at the Lusail circuit and will have to start in sixth place, among other things behind his teammate at Red Bull Yuki Tsunoda.
Talking to the official Formula 1 channels, Verstappen explained his biggest concern, related to the stability of his car: “Since the start of practice the car seemed to hop around the track – said the Dutchman -, plus it suffered from heavy understeer that at high speeds became oversteer”.
“I tried to change something but it didn–t work,” added the four-time world champion -. We still have to figure out how to improve and tomorrow is Sprint and qualifying. What is certain is that with this balance I will struggle to have fun tomorrow, we have to frame and solve the problem if we want to close the weekend at best”.
In Qatar, Max Verstappen is aiming to get even closer to World Championship leader Lando Norris, and then play for the world title in the last race, the one scheduled in Abu Dhabi, at the Yas Marina circuit, in the first weekend of December. The standings see, on the eve of the Lusail Sprint, Norris ahead of everyone with 390 points, while Verstappen is paired with Oscar Piastri in second at 366. Piastri himself will start on pole position in the Qatar short race.
