Angry comeback at Allianz Cloud: Urania gets back on track

Wegreenit Urania Milano returned to victory overcoming Juvi Cremona 84-78 at the end of a game characterized by two very different phases. The visiting lineup managed the lead for a long time in the first two quarters, while Milan built its comeback in the second half of the match thanks to an increasing intensity and a better offensive balance. Cremona led with authority in the early part, finding effective solutions in transition and taking advantage of some inaccuracies of the Milanese defense. However, the resumption marked a change of inertia, with Urania more present in duels and rebounding situations.
Urania’s performance was supported by a choral performance, with Taylor the best scorer at 23 points and D’Almeida incisive under the basket with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Rogic’s contribution in the finale was also valuable, useful in consolidating the margin gained. Before the start of the restart, the Allianz Cloud audience was able to witness the entrance of the youth from the youth sector onto the court, a very heartfelt moment of participation that several also decided to share on social media. Cremona, for its part, maintained a good pace in the first 20 minutes, finding important resources from McConico and taking advantage of Urania’s initial difficulties in containing the perimeter.
During the third quarter Milan gradually reduced the gap, finding continuity thanks to the initiatives of Sabatini, Cavallero and Taylor himself. Juvi tried to contain the comeback by relying again on McConico and Del Cadia, managing to restore a safe lead only at times. Urania, however, maintained consistency in defensive possessions and control of the pace, getting as far as overtaking with a positive sequence fueled by energy under the basket. A favorable partial allowed the hosts to close the third quarter on +6, setting the stage for the finale.
In the last quarter Milan neatly managed the lead, increasing defensive pressure and finding important points from Rogic and Gentile. Cremona tried to come back with more aggressiveness, reducing the disadvantage at some junctures, but Urania maintained control and lucidity in offensive choices. The last actions confirmed the solidity of the hosts, who closed the match with D’Almeida’s dunk. The game thus ended with a victory built in the second half of the match, the result of a gradual comeback and more effective management of the decisive phases.
