Lecce coach Eusebio Di Francesco spoke after the win against Torino: “We came from very good performances at home where we deserved more, we created difficulties for Torino between the lines, and in this way we scored the second goal. Then Torino did well to come back out, but we managed to hold on”.

“In general I am satisfied because the boys held until the end, risking nothing in the second half apart from the penalty. I honestly needed a bit of luck … because games are also won this way, with a missed penalty”.

On Berisha’s performance: “He played the role very well in a sort of 4-2-3-1 in the defensive phase. Moved to play as a trequartista compared to when I deployed him as a left halfback, I knew he could create problems for Torino and so he did”.

Gallo among the best on the field: “He does not know what potential he has, but he has to give continuity to his performance. He is one of those players who can aspire to something more important, maybe even from a national perspective”.
