Sanremo Festival, Carlo Conti announced the names of the 30 big acts in the competition. And Jannik Sinner remains a dream

Carlo Conti announced live on Tg1 at 1:30 p.m. the names of the 30 Bigs in the competition, as is usually the case. The announcement was postponed a week due to the mourning related to the death of Ornella Vanoni, one of the most important figures in the Festival’s history.
The 2026 edition will air on Rai 1 from February 24 to 28. The date change from earlier in the month is due to the Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina, scheduled for the first weeks of February, which forced the postponement of Sanremo. The five evenings will maintain the classic structure: four dates dedicated to Big and cover songs, and the final on Saturday, Feb. 28, when the winner of the 76th edition will be announced.
Conti explained that the 2026 Festival will have a special value, with tributes to figures who have marked the history of Italian song. These include Pippo Baudo, Peppe Vessicchio and Ornella Vanoni. The artistic director has already reiterated his intention to pay tribute to them with care and respect. A moment dedicated to the Kessler twins, who had enchanted the audience with their performance at the Ariston in 2014, is also possible.
About the guests, some expected some elucidation about the possible (but really unlikely) participation of Jannik Sinner: the topic, back in the news in recent days, was not touched upon. But having him on stage for the organizers is a dream, for now remaining as such.
