Another tegola for Juventus: “Federico Gatti, who was substituted during the second half of the Juventus-Udinese match following a distorsive injury to his right knee– reads a note -, underwent radiological investigations at J|medical on Wednesday morning. Instrumental examinations showed an injury to the medial meniscus, such that surgery will be necessary and will be performed in the coming days”. There is talk of a stop of at least a month with the Bianconeri defense already coming to terms with the absence of Bremer, who will be even more of an emergency from now until the end of the year.

Luciano Spalletti on Tuesday night spoke to Mediaset after the 2-0 win over Udinese that earned his Juventus team qualification to the Coppa Italia quarterfinals: “We played a decent game, we did everything well. When you play against teams like Udinese, the danger is always when you lose the ball. Instead we were balanced, we got some important situations. But we had some situations that we could have handled better and with more quality: these are situations to go and catch because the real lion puts all his strength even with a mouse. If the penalty episode doesn’t come you have to score another goal, if not at the last even an episode can condemn you.”

“David and Opendaare two central forwards. The former is very relational with the team and inside the area gives his best, while the latter is better at attacking depth and spaces. They compensate for each other and can play together, and we are pleased that they are in good condition. They have shown good things in this period. How will you feel when you return to Naples? It will be an incandescent emotion. I have a lot of friends there and a lot of children waiting for me, and that is the most important thing. It will not matter how I will be received, but my feeling toward them, which is that of a person who loves them the most”.

“There are very good players and since I arrived I have found great helpfulness. From day to day inside the training sessions I have seen something new and this is the thing that gives good hope for doing a certain kind of soccer even against the higher quality teams”, he concluded.
