Udinese, Kosta Runjaic: "We lost the one-on-one duels"

Udinese coach Kosta Runjaic is obviously not satisfied after the 2-0 defeat against Juventus in the round of 16 match of the Italian Cup.

“We lacked something and it was clear in the first half – the words of Runjaic on the official website of the Friulians. We did not have the strength we should have had. It is always difficult here against a strong team but I am not satisfied.

“In the second half until the penalty we were in the game even though we didn’t come close to scoring. Then after 2-0 it became difficult. Juve played well kept the ball so much, the key was that we lost one-on-one duels losing the ball quickly.”

“Zaniolo has played a lot in the last few games, I thought about not fielding him but I wanted to make it clear that for us tonight’s game was very important and we wanted to go to the next round. He had some good moments tonight then I wanted to spare him and I did the same with Atta who played a lot of minutes.”
