The Numia Vero Volley Milan received by Mayor Giuseppe Sala at Palazzo Marino to celebrate the Super Cup.
An extraordinary success that has made the history of Milanese volleyball.
The ceremony was held in the prestigious Sala dell'Orologio, headquarters of the Milanese Municipality.
The mayor celebrated the first national trophy of Milanese volleyball conquered a month ago.
Coach Lavarini’s lineup wrote history on Oct. 18 at PalaTrieste.
Captain Paola Egonu honored the mayor with a jersey and club pennant.
The outfielder received the City’s pennant and the sports medal in return.
"You are an example for our city and for the new generations", said Mayor Sala.
Also present was the'alderman Martina Riva who accompanied the team on the visit to Palazzo Marino.
President Alessandra Marzari: "We want to emphasize the team's social impact".
Paola Egonu, absolute outfielder, won everything there's to win…
… has done it with the national team and with a variety of club teams.

“We put on the second and managed to get unstuck – says Alessia Bolzonetti – We did it suffering a bit, because it is not easy and pull up after a series of games gone wrong, but we found the chemistry and now we are also beautiful to look at, because, when things are going well, everything is more beautiful. We deserve it and I would like us to continue like this.”

And the opportunity to give continuity is just around the corner, because a victory in the advance of the thirteenth day at home of Cbf Balducci Hr Macerata would guarantee access in the grid of the first eight who will play the Italian Cup Quarterfinals.

“We’re charged up, we’re there – stresses Bolzonetti, former duty player – Macerata is a team that defends a lot and that’s definitely a strength of theirs. They never give up, not a single ball and it has shown in the past few games. We have to be good at being patient and staying sharp, because against teams that shoot up every ball it’s easy to lose our heads.”
