The Monday of the Immaculate Conception, with three matches to close the program of the fourteenth round of Serie A, opens with the success of Parma at home of Pisa, all’Anconetani-Arena Garibaldi: 1-0 the final score for the ducals, who return to success after the league loss with Udinese and the one in the Coppa Italia, accrued in the final, in Bologna.

.

The match was decided by an episode that was evaluated at length first in the Var Room and then at the on-field review in the end of the first half: it was 37′, in fact, when a shot by Britschgi was deflected by Caracciolo and rejected by Scuffet, but it was precisely the deflection that was deemed, after almost three minutes of analysis at a standstill, decisive for the award of a penalty kick, which Benedyczak converted when the clock struck 40′

.

In the second half, there is no shortage of opportunities, at Pisa, to snatch at least a point: above all those that happened on the feet of Nzola, which, however, turns out to be inaccurate at 57′ (high ball from a good position) and at the’88’ (decisive a deflection of Valeri). Nzola himself becomes the protagonist of a bad episode at 93′: reaction foul on Keita and direct red for the Nerazzurri striker. In essence little changes: Parma wins 1-0 and can celebrate three important points against a direct rival for salvation.

The Yellowoblù thus rise to 14 points in the standings, bringing them +4 from the third-last place occupied by Pisa itself, which remains at 10. On the next day, Parma will face Lazio at home on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m., while Pisa will play at 8:45 p.m. on the 12th in Lecce, against another contender for staying in the top division.

The Gialloblù are now in the top ten.
