L’Union Brescia, a club engaged in the Group A of Serie C, has made official the dismissal of Aimo Diana in the aftermath of the defeat in the derby against Lumezzane (1-0 with Iori’s goal on a penalty kick at 28′ a match that Union Brescia closed in ten for the expulsion of De Maria at the 87’87’). The Bianzzurri team has not won in the league since Nov. 2 (1-0 at home to Triestina) and has collected three draws and a defeat in the last four, winning only in the Coppa Italia against Sambenedettese.

“Union Brescia announces that it has relieved coach Aimo Diana and his staff from the position of leading the first team – reads the club’s note -. The club would like to thank the coach for the commitment, professionalism and dedication shown daily, as well as for the strong attachment to our colors. To coach Diana and his staff goes the sincerest wishes for the continuation of their careers”.

Already ready the replacement: on the managers&#8217s notebook, at the top of the list, is Eugenio Corini, a native of Bagnolo Mella, former player and coach of the old Brescia Calcio, with which, on the bench, he reached promotion to Serie A at the end of the 2018-2019 season. Corini has been stationary since November 2024: his last experience was on the bench of Cremonese.
