Paulo Dybala and Santiago Gimenez on the same team, fans dream big

Marcelo Delgado, club executive and trusted man of President Juan Román Riquelme, spoke to the microphones of Radio La Red to talk about the Joya and made no secret of it at all: “Paulo Dybala is a little bit dream, a little bit hope and a little bit reality. Grown up in the ranks of the Instituto, Paulo Dybala moved to Italy in 2012 thanks to the intuition of Maurizio Zamparini, who brought him to Palermo after pouring nearly 12 million euros into the Argentine club&#8217s coffers. In Rosanero, Dybala matured a lot and showed glimpses of an uncommon talent that convinced Juventus to buy him in 2015 for more than 40 million euros. La Joya became a symbol of the Bianconeri club and in his 7 years in the shadow of the Mole he collected 293 appearances, 115 goals and 53 assists. In his experience in Turin he won a lot: 5 Scudetti, 4 Coppe Italia and 3 Italian Super Cups, then he moved to Roma for free in the summer of 2022.

Roma is hesitant about Paulo Dybala&#8217s contract renewal: the star player&#8217s qualities are not in question but he is the highest paid player in the squad (more than 12 million euros per year) and in recent years he has had a lot of injuries that have not allowed him to play with continuity. The Giallorossi club could also decide not to replace Paulo Dybala by promoting Matias Soulé to the role of permanent starter: the very young star is itching to prove his qualities and feels ready to play an important role at Roma. Paulo Dybala’s farewell could open wide the doors for him to a starting jersey: it will be up to him to prove he deserves it.
