Roma market, Paulo Dybala’s future is an'unknown: all the scenarios

Roma soccer market: Paulo Dybala remains in the balance. On the contrary: his stay in the Giallorossi appears increasingly complex, with a triple consecutive exclusion among the starters chosen by Gian Piero Gasperini, between Serie A and Europa League. All this while his contract continues to expire at the end of the current season, on June 30, 2026, and it does not appear that operations to extend it have even begun. Speculation about the Argentine striker&#8217s future is flourishing, and the ‘Joya’ himself has already spoken out about his possible future. It seems, however, that the Capitoline management does not even want to start negotiations without some guarantees and conditions.

They were highlighted by the ‘Corriere dello Sport’, according to which Roma’s first priority is to bring down the player’s salary. Dybala currently earns about 8 million euros per season, figures that the club is no longer willing to spend on him. The goal would be to cut them in half, also taking into account that we are no longer talking about a kid (the Argentine is now 32 years old) who, moreover, is often subject to injuries or physical problems. After all, a good part of this season&#8217s absences is due to left thigh tendon surgery and two muscle injuries. However, Gasperini would also like a performance on the field that justifies the investment, and thus a good dowry of goals and assists to his credit.

The chances of reaching a white smoke exist. Dybala, according to ‘Corsport’ would be willing to accept the pay cut partly because he and wife Oriana are expecting the birth of their daughter and would like to stay in Rome. However, it now remains to be understood what Gasperini&#8217s willingness is to reintroduce him more frequently into his Roma rotation after his exclusion from the starting lineup against Roma, Cagliari and Celtic. A’not so necessary addition, if not to communicate a closeness to Roma at least in intention. It is obviously not a signature, but a signal is. For the signing, however, time is running out.
