Dominik Paris third in practice in Val Gardena, best time for Marco Odermatt

South Tyrol’s Dominik Paris set the third fastest time in the first timed run ahead of Thursday’s and Saturday’s World Cup downhill on the Saslong slope in Val Gardena.
Paris was 78 hundredths of a second behind the fastest racer, Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt, the World Cup dominator, who came down with a time of 2’03″68.
Second best time, 72 hundredths behind, for Austria’s Daniel Hemetsberger. Further back the other Azzurri with Florian Schieder twelfth at 2″09 behind, and Mattia Casse Giovanni Franzoni seventeenth ex-aequo at 3″08.
Tomorrow the second and final time trial. In Val Gardena, in addition to the two downhill runs, with the first making up for the one cancelled in Beaver Creek, a super-G is also scheduled on Friday.
