Competition weekend coming up with big news for alpine skiing'Italy

Next weekend’s Alpine Ski World Cup will represent a very important stage for Italy. In fact, there will be three debuts: that of Livigno as the host resort of a Circo Bianco race, the men’s super-G on Saturday, December 27, and that of two very young athletes, Anna Trocker and Giada D’Antonio, in the women’s giant slalom and slalom in Semmering on Saturday, December 27, and Sunday, December 28, respectively. In Saturday’s giant slalom, along with Trocker will compete Giorgia Collomb, Lara Della Mea, Ilaria Ghisalberti, Sofia Goggia, Alice Pazzaglia, Ambra Pomaré and Asja Zenere. In Sunday’s slalom, along with D’Antonio, there will be Giorgia Collomb, Lara Della Mea, Emilia Mondinelli, Martina Peterlini, Beatrice Sola and Giulia Valleriani.

Livigno, on the other hand, will replace Bormio as the men’s World Cup stop between Christmas and New Year’s Day since the Alta Valtellina resort will be the Olympic venue for men’s alpine skiing. In Saturday&#8217s super-G in Little Tibet, Marco Abbruzzese, Benjamin Alliod, Guglielmo Bosca, Mattia Casse, Giovanni Franzoni, Christof Innerhofer, Dominik Paris, Max Pesatore and Florian Schieder will defend Italy&#8217s colors.
