Milan market, Niclas Füllkrug is in a hurry: he will train with the group on Boxing Day

Niclas Füllkrug and AC Milan are already getting to know each other, in a day of celebration that for Rossoneri fans is even more so thanks to a small, big news. Indeed, Massimiliano Allegri’s players had a normal day of training on Boxing Day as well. And, along with the rest of the squad, there was also the now former West Ham center forward, although for bureaucratic reasons his transfer to the Lombard capital has yet to be announced as official. But the’operation is to all intents and purposes closed, so much so that the German will be able to be on the field as early as January 2 against Cagliari.

Initially, in fact, the technical timing of the signing hinted at a postponed debut, with the striker forced to miss the away match in Sardinia against Cagliari and postpone his Serie A debut to Jan. 8, when Milan will face Genoa at the San Siro. The FIGC, however, has granted the Lega Serie A’s request to shorten the timeframe for signing new players. It will be enough to deposit the contract by 4 p.m. on Jan. 2 for Füllkrug to be able to take the field against the red-blue islanders. This will avoid “favorable treatment” for all teams that will play matches in the same round on the 3rd or 4th of the month.

In the meantime, Allegri does not want to risk being faced with nasty surprises, whether it concerns the physical and athletic condition of his next center forward or even just his tactical adaptation to Milan. So here it is that Füllkrug has already been working with his next teammates on a theoretically public holiday, crucial, however, to speed up his insertion into the Rossoneri automatisms. So much so that it is possible not only for him to make his immediate Serie A debut as early as January 2 against Cagliari, but even with a starting jersey.

Already before Christmas, West Ham gave the’ok to the Teutonic striker&#8217s departure with the formula of loan with right of redemption. The player is expected to pocket 1.3 million euros between now and the end of the season. To redeem him, Milan will have to shell out about 13 million euros. Confirmation on the figures, of course, will come after the deal has the trappings of officiality.

In the meantime, Igli Tare is also working to seek a new defender, and in pole position would be Axel Disasi. The French center back is failing to get space at Chelsea and is ready to pack his bags to get involved elsewhere. Milan is evaluating different aspects before trying to close the deal, but they like the profile very much and in the new year there could be important news in this regard.
