Leon Bailey’s adventure with the Roma shirt has ended earlier than expected. The Giallorossi sporting director, Tiago Pinto Massara, has in fact reached an agreement with Aston Villa for the early termination of the loan, and the Jamaican player is preparing to return to the English club.

Bailey’s experience in the Giallorossi lasted less than six months and, during this short period, the player failed to find continuity or make his mark on the field, also due to a series of physical problems that limited his performance.

According to some rumors, Roma might be able to recover part of the amount paid for the loan, estimated at around two million euros, thus mitigating the losses resulting from an adventure that did not meet either the club’s or the player’s expectations.

It now remains to be seen whether Gian Piero Gasperini will receive an’alternative or will remain with the squad currently left at his disposal, including the new January signings.
