Race for strong hearts, Bergamo wins over Verona

Gives great emotions the challenge between Gruppo Mascio Bergamo and Tezenis Verona: after an overtime on the Monza’s parquet, the orobici win 87-82.
Balanced game from the start. Ramagli’s team closes the first period ahead by one (17-16) and tries the stretch in the second with Harrison protagonist, reaching the double-digit lead (28-17). Verona reacts with Spanghero and McGee, but at halftime the hosts are still ahead +7 (36-29).
In the third quarter Verona comes back thanks to triples and plays by McGee, even puts his nose ahead with Johnson (41-40) in a confusing, basket-poor phase. Harrison and McGee answer each other, Williams signs the tie, and the period ends 51-51.
In the fourth Verona tries to run away (+7), Bergamo reacts, McGee comes out for five fouls and it comes to a point in the last minutes. With 46 seconds to go Verona is down by 4, it seems over, but another former Cantù, Baldi Rossi, with only one second to play, scores and sends the game to overtime.

In the overtime Verona starts strong, immediately rising to +4 but the hosts instead of collapsing do not give up. It comes down to 77-77 midway through overtime, then Harrison (30 points for him) again takes the lead with two decisive baskets from the arc.
