Genoa market, a new name pops up for the midfield

It is a Genoa unleashed on the winter market. After the arrivals of Tommaso Baldanzi in the three-quarter and Nils Zätterström in defense, as well as goalkeeper Justin Bijlow, the red and blue club’s management is working to give a midfield reinforcement to coach Daniele De Rossi.

According to reports from Sky Sport, the Grifone has reportedly put a new name in its sights: it is Alexsandro Amorim from Alverca’Alverca, a club that plays in the top division of the Portuguese league.

In the long list of international midfielders sounded out by the Ligurian club in the end, the young Brazilian player could be the one chosen. Born in Fortaleza on May 18, 2005, Amorim grew up in the youth ranks of his hometown club before moving on loan to Athletic.

Last year he landed in Europe at Portugal’Alverca, which bought him for a fee of 310,000 euros. With the shirt of the Portuguese club so far he has collected 19 appearances, scoring two goals.
