Sconcerting episode at the Zini stadium during Cremonese-Inter. From the curve reserved for the Nerazzurri fans, a firecracker was thrown on the pitch; exploded in the immediate vicinity of the area manned by grigiorosso goalkeeper Emil Audero.

The’extreme defender ended up on the ground knocked unconscious, then signaled that he had some trouble from an ear while panic grew among Nerazzurri fans at home and at the stadium over fears that he would ask for a substitution, with the real risk of an appeal and drastic measures by the Giudice Sportivo (sports judge).

Lautaro Martinez immediately went to ask Beneamata fans to calm down while Audero, who played for Inter in the 2023-24 season and is now owned by Como, reassured everyone and so the match resumed.

The’incident occurred in the opening minutes of the second half, precisely in minute 49. At that point in the match, Inter was already leading 2-0 over Cremonese, thanks to Lautaro Martinez′s header on 16′, on the development of a corner taken by Dimarco, and the doubling sealed on 31′ by Zielinski with a great shot from the distance on an assist from Luis Henrique.

Emil Audero, recently turned 29, was born in Mataram on Jan. 18, 1997. In fact, he enjoys dual nationality: that of Indonesia (his father&#8217s homeland as well) and that of Italy. He moved to Piedmont, to be precise to Cumiana, when he was just one year old. He grew up in the Juventus youth academy and, in addition to the jerseys of Inter, Como and Cremonese, he wore the jerseys of Venezia and Sampdoria after making his Serie A debut in the bianconero on May 27, 2017, against Bologna.

After wearing the Italy jersey in all youth national teams from the Under 15 to the Under 21, since 2025 Emil Audero decided to accept the call-up of the senior national team of Indonesia. He made his debut on June 5, in the match against China valid for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
