Daniele Rugani is officially a new player for Fiorentina, having arrived from Juventus on a loan deal with mandatory redemption upon the fulfillment of certain conditions. The Tuscan defender described the return to the purple jersey as an exciting and meaningful experience, stressing how happy he is to return to play close to his homeland and to be able to contribute to the team’s project at a delicate time of the season.

Rugani reiterated that he wants to make his technical characteristics and experience available to the team, both on and off the field, with the aim of supporting his younger teammates and helping them grow. His priority will be the collective, rather than individual roles, and he expressed his willingness to give his all to achieve the club’s seasonal goals.

“Wearing this jersey is a bit’like coming home, to my homeland, so I am really happy”, Rugani said, summarizing the personal bond with Fiorentina.

The new defender then spoke about the importance of having experienced teammates next to him, citing in particular goalkeeper Davide De Gea, who he said represents a reference point both technically and motivationally. Rugani also mentioned that he has already interacted with some of the players, stressing that integration into the group will be crucial in facing the second half of the season.

He concluded by reiterating that his concentration will be total on the team’s success, and that the top priority is to help achieve salvation. In this sense, the Tuscan defender aims to transfer experience, leadership and determination to the group, with the goal of strengthening Fiorentina both on the field and in the locker room.

“I am at the full disposal of the coach and the team to achieve a goal that is too important” he added, closing his first official message as a purple player.
