Benetton Rugby armors two talents
Benetton Rugby announced on Wednesday the renewal until June 30, 2029 of Destiny Aminu and Giulio Marini, the former born in 2003 and the latter one year older. Aminu, a left pylon who grew up between Leonorso and Udine, after experiences with the Italian U20 national team and the FIR U23 Academy, established himself at Mogliano before joining Benetton, collecting 13 appearances so far in the green-and-white and confirming himself as one of the most promising young forwards of the club involved in the URC.
Marini, a classy second line who took his first steps in the Mogliano nursery, boasts on his personal palmarès the award for best young forward in the 2023-2024 Serie A Elite. With the Treviso Lions, he has made 12 appearances between United Rugby Championship and Challenge Cup. The club describes him as an impact player from a physical standpoint, effective in lineouts, capable of carrying the ball and providing his imprint in the defensive phase. Both Marini and Aminu expressed their satisfaction with the deal on official Benetton channels.
