Pecco Bagnaia appeared very satisfied after the three days of MotoGP winter testing in Sepang. “We did a good job, it was 3 positive days, we adopted a better strategy that is to try things but calmly, only as I became familiar with the bike – he began at the microphones of Sky Sport MotoGP -. Thanks to this I was able to give clearer and more precise indications”.

“Everything we tested was pretty clear whether it was better or not, that helps both me and the engineers so much. It won&#8217t be easy to choose the fairing but I particularly liked the configuration I chose to do the Sprint simulation with and it&#8217s a mix between last year’s aerodynamics and this year” added the Ducati rider who impressed in the short race simulation.

“All in all I am very satisfied – the Turin rider then stressed -The time attack came quite well, without exaggerating too much and it came out well. The simulation was very fast and that is something that I personally am a bit interested in’more after last year. And I&#8217m looking forward to Buriram to try to continue to do that kind of work”.

The three-time world champion also spoke about his future, which seems to be far from Ducati, even from a satellite team: “I believe I am a frontline rider, so it is necessary that my ambitions always lead me to be in the frontline. There are many opportunities and what I have done well in recent years certainly helps at this time, but without pressure and without hurry I will make the decision I think is right”.

In 2027 Pedro Acosta is expected to take Pecco’s place in the Borgo Panigale stable: “We live in a super fast world, so you have to be fast. Jorge Lorenzo said something right, that we only remember the last races. So it’s normal for that to be the case. In the last 3-4 years, contracts are decided much earlier, but that is how it is and honestly I think it is correct”.
