Cristiano Ronaldo is having a difficult time: the Portuguese champion is unhappy with Al-Nassr’s market and decided to skip a match and a training session in protest. CR7 is furious with the PIF fund, which owns shares in Al-Nassr and Al Hilal: according to the footballer, the ownership would have invested much more in the rival team.

Cristiano Ronaldo&#8217s behavior did not please the Saudi Pro League top brass at all, who rebuked him harshly through an official statement:“Our league is structured around a simple principle: each club operates independently under the same rules. Clubs have their own boards, their own executives and their own football vision. Decisions on acquisitions, spending and strategies are up to those clubs, within a financial framework designed to ensure sustainability and competitive balance”.

“This framework applies equally to the entire league. Cristiano Ronaldo has been fully involved with Al-Nassr since his arrival and has played an important role in the club’s growth and ambition. Like any elite player, he wants to win. But no individual, no matter how important, determines decisions beyond his own club” warned the Arab league leaders.

“Recent market movements clearly demonstrate this independence. One club has strengthened in a particular way, another has chosen a different approach. These were decisions of the leaders of individual clubs, made within approved financial parameters. And in this sense the competitiveness of the league speaks for itself. There are only a few points separating the top four, so the title race is very heated. This level of balance reflects a system that works as it should”.

The’Al-Nassr in this market session signed Abdullah Al-Hamdan and Haydeer Abdulkareem, while the’Al Hilal on the other hand invested a lot to acquire Kader Meïté, Saïmon Bouabré, Murad Al-Hawsawi, Rayan Al-Dossary, Sultan Mandash, Pablo Marí and especially Karim Benzema. The Frenchman arrived for free from Al Ittihad’Al Ittihad but will receive a very high salary.
