The uniforms that the Finnish Olympic and Paralympic teams will wear at the Olympic opening ceremony were unveiled at an international fashion show in Milan a few days before the start.

The host of the fashion show was, of course, the city of Milan, which is globally recognized as the capital of fashion. A unique and exclusive event that the International Olympic Committee organized for the first time to kick off a tradition in which sports and fashion meet in a new way. An initiative that aims to bring the Olympic movement closer to a new audience through an experiential and visual presentation.

Approximately 20 nations participated in the fashion show, including leading winter sports countries and among them Finland.

During the exclusive fashion show, the Luhta brand, as the official partner of the Finnish team, presented outfits designed and made for the national Olympic and Paralympic teams. Outfits created by the Finnish company’s designers, who took inspiration from the nature of Lapland for their creation, paraded on the catwalk. In fact, the entire collection is based on the strong identity of the area, functionality and timeless design.

“The design of the collection created by Luhta for the Finnish team ahead of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics was inspired by Finnish Lapland, in particular by its unique nature, silence and those incredible moments it gives,” said Jeri Luhtanen, Division Director of Luhta Sportswear Company, “One above all when the sun sets in the North and the last rays of the day paint the sky and the whole surrounding environment with special blue hues: a truly evocative moment that transforms the landscape into something truly magical, and which we wanted to capture and bring back in the collection designed for our team”.
