Pecco Bagnaia is preparing his farewell to Ducati: his contract expires at the end of the season, and the Piedmontese rider said he deserves an official team on the sidelines of the Sepang MotoGP tests. According to rumors, Marc Marquez has already reached an agreement with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer’s team for the renewal, while Pedro Acosta should be at his side. Bagnaia will not accept a demotion to a satellite bike, and he is ready to pack his bags.

“I am a frontline rider, so it is necessary that my ambitions always lead me to be in the frontline. Of opportunities there are many and without pressure and without haste I will make the decision that I think is right” he spoke clearly in an interview with Motorsport. Bagnaia also stated that “Jorge Lorenzo said something right, which is that we only remember the last races. So it is normal that it”.

“In the last 3-4 years, contracts are decided much earlier, but that&#8217s the way it is and we have to accept it even if there&#8217s no way to totally prove one”s worth or desire for redemption,”, concluded Bagnaia, who reportedly also revealed that he has “great opportunities on the table”.

According to rumors in the paddock, Bagnaia in 2027 could sit on an Aprilia bike, alongside fellow Academy rider Marco Bezzecchi. The team manager of the house of Noale Massimo Rivola at the microphones of the official website of MotoGP winked at Bagnaia: “On the market we have plans B, C and D, I am happy to see again Bagnaia so fit and fast”.

“Ducati is still the benchmark, but our bike has improved from 2025. I think you will have a lot of fun watching the races this year, because the Hondas also look very fast”.
