“Schuurs was born in Nieuwstadt, Netherlands, on Nov. 26, 1999. He grew up in the youth sector of Fortuna Sittard and made his 16-year-old debut in the Eredivisie in 2016. In 2018, he switched to Ajax: in four seasons he totaled 95 appearances and 3 goals between Eredivisie, KNVB Cup, Champions League and Europa League, winning three championships, two domestic cups and a Dutch Super Cup”.

“Turin welcomed him in the summer of 2022 and Perr thanks to his education, availability and values took very little time to enter everyone’s heart, both on and off the pitch. His first Serie A appearance came on August 27 in the win against Cremonese, and on October 18 he scored his first goal on his debut in the Coppa Italia against Cittadella. Schuurs adapted quickly to Italian soccer: punctual in anticipation, good at setting up and skillful in headers”.

“The second season begins with excellent premises, however unfortunately on October 21, 2023 he suffers a terrible injury in the league match against Inter. Perr undergoes surgery: he does not stop training and tries hard to recover. His commitment is commendable and that symbiotic feeling with the Granata world never fades”.

“Today, unfortunately, the working relationship between Toro and Schuurs comes to an end. The statistics tell of 43 appearances and two goals with the Granata jersey, but Perr’s story in Turin is much more than that: it is the perfect testimony to professionalism, seriousness and dedication to the cause”.

“President Urbano Cairo and the entire Torino Football Club wish Perr all the best for his future and greet him with a very affectionate hug. Although our paths separate today, we know that our bond remains strong: Torino is your home and you will forever be one of us. Thank you for everything, Perr, we hope to meet again soon. Good luck, and Always Forza Toro!” closes the note from Toro.
