Sandro Tonali is undoubtedly one of the best Italian footballers around and the interest of the biggest top clubs in him is not surprising. According to Fichajes reports, Real Madrid is also monitoring the Newcastle star&#8217s performance with great interest and has included him in its list of targets for the upcoming summer soccer session. The Blancos are experiencing a season plagued by problems, and several things in the squad could change in the summer.

At midfields Aurélien Tchouaméni and Arda Güler have their suitcases in hand: the former wants a change of scenery to relaunch his career, the latter could follow Xabi Alonso (contended by Liverpool and Manchester City). The double exit would open the door wide for Sandro Tonali but much will also depend on who will be the next Real Madrid coach. Florentino Perez’s dream is Jürgen Klopp, who has been hinted at by the Blancos in the past, but the German is fine in his role as Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull and he&#8217s made that clear recently as well.

In recent days there has been talk of the possible hire of Unai Emery, coach of Aston Villa who knows the Spanish league well. Known for his great ability to manage star-studded groups, Emery could greatly help the Blancos’environment to solve some of the problems within the locker room, and it is precisely this characteristic that is considered fundamental by Florentino Perez and the rest of the Real Madrid management, fresh from the difficult experience with Xabi Alonso.

The former Bayer Leverkusen helmsman was hired by the Blancos last summer to pick up Carlo Ancelotti’s legacy but something went wrong: Xabi twisted the working methodologies and chose to maintain a rather detached relationship with the players, an approach substantially opposite to the one adopted by Ancelotti during his experience in Madrid.

The results were not so bad but on the exoneration weighed heavily the complicated relationship between Xabi Alonso and part of the team, Vinicius above all: a good feeling never arose between the two and the Brazilian’s rant in the Clásico on October 26 is a clear example. To replace Xabi, Florentino Perez decided to entrust the bench to Alvaro Arbeloa but things have not improved much.
