Novak Djokovic, as an Olympic champion in Paris 2024, attended the Opening Ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics with his family. After witnessing the great spectacle staged in the San Siro stadium where Milan, a team of which he is a fan, also plays, he was intercepted on his way back by Corriere della Sera: “It&#8217s been a beautiful show, as always. It is always nice to be in Italy. Italy is a country of sports”.

A clear message to Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, who will have to deal with the winningest in tennis history for a few more years. The ceremony ended around 11:30 p.m. and, as per tradition, the lighting of the braziers was scheduled at the conclusion of a long evening marked by the presence of many guests, even those far from the world of sports.
